Ankara House
Turning arrival into participation
The spine of your Africa visit — where to go, what to do, how to move, who to trust.
The problem
Millions arrive in Africa.
Few truly experience it.
Sophie lands in Entebbe with seven days and every intention of being a tourist. The flight was booked months ago. So was the hotel. Nobody has sold her the other six days.
Booked before she left home Six days nobody has sold her
Experiences are fragmented, hard to discover and often offline.
Inventory lives with tour agents, WhatsApp chats and word of mouth.
Hard to know what is legitimate, what is safe and who to trust.
The same friction keeps others from coming — and keeps the ones who do come from taking part.

What Ankara is
The spine of
your Africa visit
Ankara House turns arrival into participation.
We bring together trusted travel tools, curated experiences, local knowledge, community and movement intelligence — so Africa is easier to discover, navigate and experience.
We are not building another travel-booking platform. We are building the connective layer between arrival and experience: where to go, what to do, how to move, who to trust.

The marketplace,
through Sophie’s eyes
Tuesday night, from her hotel bed, Sophie opens a link the hotel shared. By ten she has booked a Thursday coffee-farm morning and a Friday performance at Ndere — paid by card, confirmed there and then. The farm gets a WhatsApp and a dashboard notification. Nobody chases anybody.

Where we start
Uganda first
One country, one corridor, done properly.
We start with fifty operators along the Kampala–Jinja–Bwindi route, each one verified in person. It is the stretch that carries most of Uganda’s visitors — and most of the experiences nobody has put online.
Rwanda and Kenya follow when the behaviour is proved in Uganda, and not before.

The Ankara Index
The editorial voice on how Africa moves
Before Ankara is a marketplace it is a point of view. The Index reads culture, movement, diaspora behaviour, what travellers search for and how destinations get talked about — and says what it means.
The same reading becomes the intelligence layer later. It starts as writing.
Issue #1 — coming.
